Arsenal secured a 2-0 opening day victory over Crystal Palace in the first game of Premier League season 2022/23.
Two goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka were enough for Mikel Arteta’s side to secure three points in their first game of the season.
After finishing the pre-season games without a single defeat, Arsenal is one of the teams to watch this season in Premier League.
Gabriel Jesus, who performed well in pre-season, started from the beginning, as was his teammate Oleksandr Zinchenko, who both left Manchester City this summer.
The first half of the game ended with Arsenal leading 1-0, with Gabriel Martinelli scored from a corner kick that Oleksandr Zinchenko headed in and found Martinelli who opened the scoring at Selhurst Park.
In the second half of the game Crystal Palace tried to equalise by pressing Arsenal hard but failed to capitalize on the opportunities they got.
In the 80th minute of the game, Bukayo Saka helped Arsenal to get the second goal, after the ball was given to him by Eddie Nketiah, and Marc Guéhi scored in his own goal.
The game ended with Arsenal getting their first three points of this season’s Premier League at Selhurst Park.
