Chelsea are set to complete the signing of Marc Cucurella from Brighton after agreement have been reached with the club, per reports from Fabrizio Romano.
The blues have successfully hijacked the transfer from Manchester City after the Cityzens were reluctant and failed to meet Brighton’s £50M asking price. Chelsea are expected to pay a fee of £50M and might include Levi Colwill in the deal.
Personal terms with Marc Cucurella didn’t prove an issue despite the player agreeing terms with Man City earlier as the player is desperate to take the next step after a stellar 2021/22 season. The Seagulls were not desperate to cash in on their player of the season considering the fact that he had 4 years left on his contract, but with Chelsea meeting their demands, an agreement has quickly been reached.
The 24 year old is now expected to sign a contract with the Blues until 2028. He’s expected to fly into London soon to complete and finalize the move and will be unveiled by the club alongside Sterling and Koulibaly.
