Chelsea and Barcelona have been involved in a fierce transfer battle this summer. The latter side has however emerged head above the former, beating Chelsea to the signing of Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde.
Barcelona having sabotaged three of the London team’s deals have in turn shot at a peace treaty between the two sides; with an enticing offering.
Chelsea correspondent, Nizaar Kinsella has dropped a fresh update stating that the Blues have been offered the chance to sign Frankie De Jong, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Memphis Depay from Barcelona.
With Chelsea having very few incomings this summer- in persons of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly, Barcelona are set to fast track the Blue side’s signing progress as the window gradually unwinds.
Knowing Chelsea’s deficiency in attacking forces, Barcelona has come to the rescue with Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; with the duo destined to have reduced game time at Camp Nou following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha. With Chelsea’s mainstay attackers, Raheem Sterling and Timo Werner lacking the tenacious conversion rate to make their team compete favourably with other European clubs, Barcelona’s offer should be considered a gift to their feet.
The Frankie De Jong offer serves as the icing on the cake. If the Dutch midfielder successfully moves to the Stamford Bridge this summer, it’ll not only increase their midfield creativity tremendously, but also bruise rivals- Manchester United’s ego; as Frankie has been the Red Devils’ hot prospect this summer.
The gift of a Blaugrana trio is one that should be capitalized on as soon as possible, as the players look to kickstart the season this weekend.
