Chelsea is now the most likely English destination for Manchester United target, Frankie De Jong.
Manchester United have gone back and forth for over two months on the De Jong transfer subject. However, Barcelona and the Red Devils have not progressed in terms of a possible deal, as the player in question is still reluctant on a move to Old Trafford.
That brings Chelsea on board! The London team who could still use a lot of creativity in their midfield have turned their attention to the Dutch man to bring spice and fluidity into a somewhat rigid midfield. Chelsea who seem to have made more progress in three days than Manchester United in two months, may have reached a halt already.
Barcelona are also quite eager to let go of the 25 year old as long as the right offer is made and the player’s heart is in it. The Catalan team’s president, Joan Laporta, was reportedly planning to employ the genius abilities of Robert Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi to facilitate a deal as quickly as possible.
Samuel Mardsen, via ESPN has reported that a clear warning from Frankie De Jong’s agents has been issued to both transfer parties. Frankie’s agents firmly stated that Chelsea and Barcelona should disregard all thoughts of using other external forces to influence the transfer. Contrary decisions on both sides may as well just totally stall the transfer.
If both sides are really looking forward to a win-win situation, it is advisable that they gently pat the Dutch man’s agents by heeding solely to their instructions.
