Leicester City have been reluctant to accept a deal from Chelsea for Wesley Fofana. They have however recently shown interest in accepting a bid, but not a cheap one.
The Foxes may be interested in doing business with Chelsea if they receive a bid of around £85m in valuation, a world record fee. Chelsea are not willing to meet this value yet as the hope to complete a deal for less than £80m, the price United paid for Maguire in 2019.
Chelsea do not want to make the mistakes United made in their deal for Maguire. He has been one player that had not lived up to the expectations of his valuation.
With Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly already at the club, Fofana may not be viewed as Chelsea’s most adored defender yet. Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali are still locked in talks with the Foxes. An agreement may be hard to reach, but not impossible.
