Having signed Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus in a deal worth €52m, Arsenal wants to offer another player from Manchester City.
After missing out on the signing of Lisandro Martinez who’s set to join Manchester United, Arsenal are confident of signing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City this summer, reports Foot Mercato.
The Gunners are very confident of finalising the deal and will accelerate in the coming hours to quickly complete the transfer. The discussions are progressing very positively. Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in Zinchenko. The pair enjoyed a strong relationship when Arteta was at City.
Futhermore, early report from the transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano states that Arsenal are preparing an official offer to sign Zinchenko, with Manchester City internally already deciding to let him leave for the right offer.
Should the 25-year-old versatile midfielder leave this summer, Manchester City will try to sign a replacement. Talks regarding signing Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion are still progressing and expected to intensify in the coming days.
Arsenal will need to pay around £35 million to secure Zinchenko’s signing, although there is not yet any indication as to whether the player would be open to the move. Nothing jas been agreed yet, but discussions over a fee are ongoing and moving in the right direction.
