Arsenal have reached verbal agreement with Manchester City for Oleksandr Zinchenko for a fee around £30m, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Arsenal were able to capitalise on Zinchenko’s quest for more first team appearances. After losing out on Lisandro Martinez’ move to Manchester United, the Gunners quickly changed their course and placed their bearing towards the Ukrainian midfielder.
Mikel Arteta will be overjoyed to reunite with Zinchenko at Arsenal and play him in a more advanced role. Zinny’s outstanding passing ability will be more than useful in the Spanish tactician counter-attacking style of play.
However, the Gunners are yet to find an agreement with the Ukrainian with talks already ongoing between both sides about salary and length of contract.
The deal is expected to be finalised in the next couple of days to enable him join the London club on pre-season tour.
