Manchester City have given the green light for outstanding midfielder, James McAtee to leave on loan this summer, per reports from Footy insider.
The Manchester club wants to get an assurance that the 19 year old will get enough minutes before sanctioning an exit as that is the reason why he’d be leaving in the first place. The club believes he’d become an important player for the club and that is why they aren’t sanctioning a permanent exit.
McAtee who grew in the City ranks has become a very integral part of the Manchester City Elite Development Squad, winning the Premier League 2 in the 20/21 and 21/22 season. McAtee has also made his debut for the Manchester City senior team back in September 2021 in a 6-1 EFL cup triumph over Wycombe Wanderers. He has since gone on to make a number of appearances for the City squad.
The Hard Tackle had reported earlier in the week that a number of Laliga including Rayo Vallecano, Valencia Getafe as well as Almería are keeping tabs on the youngster. A number of English clubs are also interested in the player including Huddersfield and Nottingham Forest are also interested in the player.
