Jude Bellingham will discuss his Borussia Dortmund future after the World Cup, says chief Hans-Joachim Watzke, amid interest from Europe’s top clubs.
The England international is performing very well this season, which is why many clubs in Europe are still looking for him, including Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Borussia Dortmund want to sit down for crunch talks with England midfielder Jude Bellingham about his future but will wait until after the impeding World Cup to do so.
Jude Bellingham still has three years left on his contract at Borussia Dortmund where he has starred for the Bundesliga giants since moving to the club in 2020 and at the time becoming their youngest ever goalscorer.
Although Hans-Joachim Watzke said he wants Bellingham to stay in Dortmund.
“I think as soon as Qatar is over, we’re going to have a basic conversation about what he actually wants,” Watzke told BILD.
“With him, with his parents, with whom he has a very close relationship and of course with his advisor.
“And then he should just tell us whether he wants to stay or whether he wants to go. Either way, we’ll discuss it pleasantly and reasonably.
“But he doesn’t have to pretend that the topic isn’t on the table. When the really big ones are there, he can’t afford to fight financially either.
“Jude is a wonderful boy who also has his fluctuations – we’ve seen that now but he is certainly one of the greatest talents in European football.”
