Manchester City are a team which are clearly intent on securing all round dominance in the world of football. They want to build a squad that no other team will be able to face confidently.
Despite struggling defensively a few years ago, the Cityzens seem to have gotten their act right since the arrival of Ruben Dias. They have further strengthened the back line with Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji and Sergio Gomez.
Stefan Ortega has also shown in recent times that he is capable of securing a first team role, putting up a massive competition for Ederson.
City now look very comfortable in defence. The same can be said about midfield, although they may try to get an addition or two in the summer transfer window.
The forward line however, I an area that City still have a few weaknesses. Although Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez pose more goal threat against opponents, the Cityzens need to work on the flanks.
Jack Grealish has had beautiful performances in recent matches, but his stats still don’t measure up to his record transfer fee.
It is for this reason that Manchester City are considering providing an alternative for the English winger. They are exploring the situation around Italian and Juventus winger, Federico Chiesa and will attempt a move for him in the summer.
As far as is understood so far, the Italian side are not willing to let the player leave the club. A lot can still unfold as the Cityzens will stop at nothing if truly they intend to land Chiesa at the Etihad.
