Manchester City need to sell either Nathan Ake or Raheem Sterling to buy Marc Cucurella, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist stated that the current Premier League champions will have to offload either Raheem Sterling or Natan Ake (or even both) before they can be able to submit a proposal to land the Brighton and Hove Albion left back.
“Once they sell at least on player between Sterling and Ake — or may be both of them — at the point, Man City will submit a proposal for Cuccurella from Brighton. He’s a top target for Man City,” he said on his YouTube channel.
The Sky Blues will need to make the decision to ensure that there is adequate game time for all players as Marc Cucurella has been labelled City’s new top target after completing the signing of Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips.
However, this does not seem to be an obstacle as Raheem Sterling looks to finalise a deal with Chelsea soon. Man City have recently shown intent to keep Nathan Ake this transfer window, but they may accept a decent offer for the defender if one is offered and also if they are able to find a suitable replacement for him.
