Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez has recently been offered a short term contract extension.
According to Santi Aouna, the Algerian trickster is considered to be part of Pep Guardiola’s plans for the Blues’ attacking options with the 2022/23 season which is less than two months away. Discussions regarding the contact extension details are said to be progressing positively.
Mahrez ended the last campaign being City’s top scorer with a total of 20 goals in all competitions. He also finished the season with 13 assists across all tournaments for City, totalling 33 direct goal involvements for the club.
The addition of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez to Man City’s squad brings a lot of excitement in the Manchester club’s territory, with fans anticipating to see the duo combined with Mahrez as their attacking trio for the next campaign.
