Manchester City will look to receive an excess of £30m for Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Ukrainian is on the radar of several EPL clubs of which Arsenal stands out. Arsenal’s boss Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of the player who can play as a Central Midfielder or as a Left Back. Other PL clubs interested includes Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Abroad, the likes of Milan, Dortmund and Juventus are keeping tabs on his situation.
The 25 year old joined Manchester City in 2016 for just about £1.7m but spent the 2016/17 season on loan at Dutch side PSV. He returned in 2017 and made his debut in an EFL cup match against Wolves. In December 2017, he scored the winning penalty against Leicester after a 1-1 draw which sent City to the final of the EFL cup which they eventually won, giving rise to the first Trophy in the Guardiola era. He went ahead to make a couple of appearances at left back due to injuries to left backs Mendy and Delph. Zinchenko grew to become a very crucial part of the squad, starting important matches including the 2020/21 UCL semi final against PSG and final against Chelsea.
According to reports from Graeme Bailey, Man City will replace both Ake and Zinchenko should they move away from the club with Marc Cucurella being the primary target at Left Back.
