Manchester City have taken a firm decision to keep James McAtee at the club amidst interest from a number of teams in England.
About half of the teams in both top tier and Championship divisions have indicated their interest in the midfielder. Some of which hoped to sign him on a permanent deal and others on a loan basis.
Scottish giants, Rangers FC, were also in the mix of clubs that were keenly interested in McAtee, but the player has decided that he wants to prove his worth at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola is also willing to keep him close to the first team and watch him charge through the ranks like Phul Foden did.
This, however, crosses out talks that he may join another club in the current transfer window. McAtee is currently on pre-season tour with the first team in Houston and has been present for the training sessions that have held so far. Manchester City fans will be eager to see how his talent can be useful to help them achieve even more success in the upcoming season.
