Manchester City are prepared to offer Riyad Mahrez a new contract in the next weeks. Phil Foden and Rodri are in new contracts list.
The Algerian King Riyad Mahrez is close to renewing his contract with Manchester City, which expires in June 2023. The 31-year-old will remain linked with the Sky Blues for several more seasons. Riyad Mahrez had a season to savour in 2021-22.
As of today, it is not known how many years the North African winger will sign for, but it is assumed that it will be at least until 2024, and even 2025. Meanwhile, it is worth remembering that important clubs such as FC Barcelona and Milan (Serie A champions) were following Riyad Mahrez very closely.
The reality is that Mahrez is a key player for Guardiola, as he averages around 45 appearances per season, so the offer of a renewal was a must for the English side.
The renewal of Man City player Rodri is a priority for the English club. With two years left on his contract, the club does not see a future without the footballer. Rodri, who joined the club from Atletico Madrid, has a buyout clause of 70 million euros.
According to ‘The Telegraph’, Man City are very alert to Rodri’s situation. The Spanish international is key for Guardiola and the club want to get the player renew his contract.
According to ‘The Daily Star’, Manchester City have offered Foden a contract until June 2027, a five year extension. His salary will be boosted to around seven and a half million pounds a year.
The young English star is showing his full potential and continues to grow season on season. Because of this, despite being just 21 years old, he is a regular starter for Guardiola. After Pep Guardiola called him up to the City squad, he has now spent a number of years playing at the highest level. His next step has now arrived.
