As stated by popular football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have reached a full agreement with free agent, Stefan Ortega, as new second goalkeeper. Meanwhile, City board are still working to find a solution for American first choice goalkeeper, Zack Steffen.
After running out his contract with Bundesliga club, Arminia Bielefeld, Ortega posted a farewell message on his Instagram to Arminia fans amid Man City transfer speculations.
The 29 year old German shot stopper finished last season’s Bundesliga campaign with a stunning 128 saves in 33 appearances with only Borussia Monchengladbach penalty king, Yann Sommer, seeing more shots kept out with 131 saves.
Man City board are said to be seeking a solution for Zack Steffen before formally announcing Stefan Ortega as their second choice goalkeeper.
