Manchester City have so far emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign top rated English midfielder, Jude Bellingham. Reports from a source in England claim that those with knowledge of the situation reckon the player ends up at the Etihad Stadium.
Relations between both Borrussia Dortmund and Manchester City are reportedly ‘very strong’, following the double swoop of Erling Haaland and Manuel Akanji in the summer transfer window.
It is understood that initial conversations concerning a move for Bellingham have been held, but nothing is advanced yet.
The midfielder will play a major role in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup plan for England; one that may price him out of his original valuation in the summer.
This raises the claim that he will not see out his current running club at the German club but will be sold to another.
Manchester City will however have to battle against other top clubs, including Liverpool and Real Madrid who are also interested in the player.
