Manchester City will end the day on the top of the Premier League table behind after smashing Southampton 4-0 on Thursday.
Kevin de Bruyne became the first player to provide the most assists (94) in Manchester City’s history surpassing David Silva (93) after providing one assist today.
Kevin de Bruyne’s assist set up Phil Foden for Manchester City’s second goal, while Joao Cancelo, Erling Haaland and Riyad Mahrez also scored.
Winning this game means that Manchester City will end the day at the top of the league table, while waiting for Arsenal’s match against Liverpool that will be held tomorrow, Sunday.
Joao Cancelo opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the match with an assist from Phil Foden, who then scored the second goal 12 minutes later.
In the second half, Riyad Mahrez scored the third goal in the 49th minute of the game, before Erling Haaland scored the fourth in the 65th minutes of the game.
This was Erling Haaland’s 15th Premier League goal in nine Premier League games, and his 20th in all competitions.
