Manchester City have had a really busy summer transfer window and show no signs of stopping yet. While Pep Guardiola is eyeing a move for left-back, Marc Cucurella to possibly wrap up his summer signings, Man City might be forced to make just another signing.
City have been in great business with London clubs this transfer market and are on course for yet another. Nathan Ake is on the verge of joining Chelsea in a dramatic transfer window that saw Gabriel Jesus move to Arsenal and Raheem Sterling blowing the headlines in recent days with an all but concluded Chelsea move. With Mancity willing to part ways with two first team players to the North London club, it is evident that the two teams have set aside their blue rivalry in a quest to help each other to build and further modify their current teams.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Nathan Ake have fully agreed personal terms and the former Bournemouth man could be on his way out of the Etihad in the coming week. However, Manchester City are in the picture of this, and are not willing to part with the 27 year old until the right offer is made.
Chelsea are keen on bringing the Dutch defender to Stamford Bridge after losing Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. Chelsea’s intent of moving for Nathan Ake however has not passed fantasy stage as an official bid for the defender is yet to be made.
If the deal is to be struck between the two sides, Manchester City will be hoping that it happens as soon as possible so that they can quickly make a move for a replacement.
