Real Madrid have a bit of a mountain to climb as they take on Barcelona on Sunday. They need a complete and extremely motivated squad to be able to conquer La Liga rivals.
However, Los Blancos will have to maximise what they have available as the claws of injury have taken a hold of their Belgian shotstopper, Thibaut Courtois.
Courtois has been out of action in recent weeks and has also not been included in Madrid’s squad to face Barcelona.
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in the pre-match conference that Courtois will be absent for the match, although he is back in training.
The Belgian goalkeeper has returned from the injury but “has not trained enough” to feature in Sunday’s game.
Andriy Lunin, as confirmed by various inside sources, with start in goal for Real Madrid tomorrow.
