FA penalize managers after derby match conflict

By David ElumeluAugust 15, 2022No Comments

What a derby it was at the Stamford Bridge yesterday!

Rigorous, relentless and dramatic up to the final whistle. A toe-to-toe battle until the last gasp.

Both sides showed resilient fighting spirits and it’s no surprise that the match ended in a 2-2 tie. Tottenham however seem the luckier side, as they snatched a point in the dying minutes of the game.

Chelsea on the other hand, appeared the more distressed side as they failed to seal the match before Tottenham’s late equalizer.

With both Spurs’ goals resulting from much controversy, it was very easy for the Blues to pour out their frustration on the visitors after the final whistle.

Both managers,Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte were not left out of the fight as they expressed their frustrations rather too irrationally even before Anthony Taylor brought the match to a close.

The FA have charged both managers following their improper mannerism on the pitch. The managers were expected to calm the raging nerves of their players, but rather were at the fore front of inditing the crisis.

It’s indeed a fair call from the FA to minimize all sorts of violence on and off the pitch.
