Barcelona agree a deal to sign Bernardo Silva

    By CNWJuly 15, 2022No Comments

FC Barcelona have found agreement with Manchester City to sign Bernardo Silva for a fee less than €80m, reports Gerard Romero.

The 27-year-old playmaker has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer, and he’s reportedly set to join the Spanish giant this summer.

Barcelona are not giving up on Bernardo just yet. The Portuguese player has been linked with a move to the Spanish side over the past few summer transfer windows.

Barcelona saw all their efforts to bring Bernardo to Camp Nou amount to nothing last summer. Despite the 27 year old’s stellar performance last season and Guardiola’s stance on keeping him at the Etihad, the Catalan team are not backing down yet.

Manchester City placed a whopping £100m price tag on the midfield sensation earlier this summer but that didn’t seem to scare Barcelona. With Frankie De Jong close to sealing a move to City’s red neighbourhood rivals, Barcelona are quite hopeful that they can leverage on a deal for Bernardo.

Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes is currently in negotiations with the both clubs so that a neutral ground of £80m can be reached. With the sublime midfielder still keen on a move closer home in Portugal, a deal could materialise very soon.
