Barcelona receive breakthrough in Bernardo Silva pursuit

By David ElumeluJuly 28, 2022No Comments

Mannchester City have gone back and forth with Barcelona on Bernardo Silva’s transfer.

Barcelona have not hidden their long term interest in Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese international nearly sealed a move to Camp Nou last summer but saw his dreams come crashing down due to Barcelona’s declining finances.

While Manchester City reluctantly placed a whopping  £80m price tag on the 27 year old with strict warnings that their sought after star is not for sale, the Blaugrana team have just refused to be swayed away from their strong interest.

Pep Guardiola has made it public that the stellar midfield magician is an integral part of his plans for the coming season but Barcelona remain dogged in their pursuit of the star.

French worldwide newspaper, L’Equipe has dropped a fresh update stating that Manchester City have offered Bernardo to Barcelona for £80m.

While it remains uncertain why the Cityzens will do such at this delicate time of the transfer window, rumours have it that Manchester City may turn to Lucas Paqueta or Matheus Nunes to succeed the Portuguese if he departs this summer.
