Manchester City are weighing up a move for Lyon Midfielder Lucas Paqueta as a potential replacement for Bernardo Silva if the Portuguese leaves the club.
According to reports from Hugo Guillemet of L’Equipe, Manchester City are now the most probable destination for Lucas Paqueta should the Brazilian favor a move away from the French club.
It is no longer news that Barcelona are interested in the Bernardo and they are expected to make a bid should they secure an exit for Frenkie De Jong. Manchester City are reluctant to sell the Portuguese after losing a number of First team players this summer, including the likes of Veteran Fernandinhho, Zinchenko, Sterling and Gabriel Jesus but might be forced to sell if the Catalan giants meets their asking price of €80M and will immediately look to replace him with Paqueta being the most likely option.
The Cityzens will however have to fend off interests from fellow English sides Arsenal and Newcastle United should they decide to get the player.
