What a thriller that was! Definitely not the result we expected to see. Fulham have shown that they will put up a fight in the Premier League.
The hosts had a better start to the match and showed more presence. They created more chances in the first half and were unlucky not to have scored a couple of goals.
Liverpool were more quiet, despite having more possession of the ball. Fulham’s hard work paid off not long after the half-hour mark as they struck first.
The Cottagers took the lead at the halfway point through Alexander Mitrovic’s header and Liverpool trailed at half-time.
The second half was much better. Substitute Darwin Nunez scored the equaliser for the visitors. Mitrovic was not done yet as he won a penalty shortly after from Van Dijk’s challenge. The forward slot the ball past Allison and secured a brace in the match.
Liverpool equalised through Mohammed Salah, assisted by Nunez. The match finished in that fashion and both teams shared a point. Here are the player ratings for the match:
