Mikel Arteta’s press conference ahead of Leicester city match

By David ElumeluAugust 12, 2022No Comments

Arsenal have begun this campaign in grand style. They sit pretty in third place of the Premier League table after a 2-0 away win at the Selhurst park a week ago.

Mikel Arteta will be looking to continue his beautiful start to the go and secure his first home three points of the season at the Emirates stadium.

As the Gunners prepare to host Leicester City tomorrow, Mikel Arteta shares some of his thoughts in a press conference.

on the team: “Smith Rowe, Tomiyasu and Vieira have been reintegrated into training this week. Some of them will be involved tomorrow.”

on Tierney: “He played 15/20 mins last week and did really well. He looks in perfect condition now and ready to go.”

on Nelson: “He felt something in training and the doctor came with bad news. Hopefully, he will be back soon.”

on if he has Auba regrets: “It’s a long time since that happened. I cannot go back each time there is a series. I have made my comments on that. What has been done has to defend the club and put it in the best possible position.”

on transfers: “We are still needing to finalise the squad in the way we want. If we can add something great. But we still have to find some solutions for certain players to get them game time.”

on Saliba’s contract: “We will address all these issues. Edu and the board will be addressing all the issues that you can possibly face. We want players who will be happy here.”
