    Man Utd 2-1 Liverpool: Match review and player ratings

    It was a worthy showdown at the Old Trafford. The match played out in a beautiful fashion and Ten Hag’s men finally have something to smile about.

    United took the lead in the first half through Jadon Sancho’s beautiful finish. The goal came shortly after Anthony Elanga clipped the post. The first half ended with the Red Devils leading at the break.

    Rashford finished off a one-on- one finish in the second half and gave his team a two-goal advantage.

    Mohammed Salah scored a consolation goal for Liverpool around the 80 minute mark and gave Liverpool a glimpse of hope in the match.

    United managed to hang on and claim all three points from the match. Lisandro Martinez was more than instmental in keeping United’s defence in shape throughout the match.
